About the artist

 

Ellenna came from Beijing. Her first artistic encounter was with Hearty clay, a kind of air dry clay originated from Korea. She felt in love with clay in general ever since. Ellenna eventually moved to and spend most of her time with the traditional ceramics as her major clay medium.

 

Ellenna has been fortunate to win several awards and competitions including first place in the pinched category of the Texas State Fair in Dallas three years in a row.  Ellenna's most recent accolade was coming first at the 18th Annual Pottery in the Park Arts Festival hosted by the Corporate Employees Recreational Association (CERA)
